Districts set their own local application deadlines; however, districts must submit their candidate applications to The Rotary Foundation by October 1st of each year for the following program year (e.g., October 1, 2004 for the 2005-07 program, etc.). Districts should set a deadline for club submissions that allows sufficient time to screen applications and conduct interviews in order to make the October 1st deadline.
Where do I submit the application if my country or locality does not have a Rotary Center?

In what order do I apply for the specific University program I am interested in? Do I submit the Rotary application after or before my university application?
Most application deadlines at Berkeley are December 15 or January 15--immediately after Rotary's announcement. You should include a copy of your unsent Berkeley application. Once you are accepted as a Rotary World Peace Scholar you will be invited to submit your University of California, Berkeley application.
How were the seven Rotary Centers selected?
The Rotary Centers Committee considered more than 100 universities around the world. The decision to recommend the final seven universities to the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation was based on very specific criteria, including geographic diversity, superior curriculum and faculty, and cost.
Will successful candidates for Rotary World Peace Scholarships be assigned to the Rotary Centers of their choice?
Candidates will be asked to indicate their preferences for assignment to any of the seven Rotary Centers, but final university assignments will be determined by the Trustees as recommended by the world-competitive selection committee. The selection committee will include faculty from the seven Rotary Centers. Selection as a Rotary World Peace Scholar does not guarantee university admission; however, all scholars must gain admission to their assigned Rotary Centers in order to receive their scholarship funds.
Will Rotary World Peace Scholars be required to attend a Rotary Center in a country other than their own?
