IASTP Student Email Lists
You can sign up for email lists on two topics:
1. Job, internship and career information: iastp_jobs
This mailing list distributes information about on-campus, off-campus, and international part-time and full-time opportunities to work or volunteer in various non-profit, for-profit, NGO and governmental agencies. All students, from freshmen to alumni, are encouraged to subscribe.
2. Event information: iastp_events
This mailing list distributes information about departmental, campus, community, and select national events concerning international topics.
Ways to sign up for the lists:
1) You can subscribe your CalMail account to a list in one step via the CalMail Home Page. Use a web browser and go to: http://lists.berkeley.edu
Login using your calmail name and password. Then, under Mailing Lists, select Subscribe/Unsubscribe to a Majordomo list and choose the IASTP list you want.
2) You can subscribe any email address in two steps by sending email addressed to: majordomo@lists.berkeley.edu that contains this single line in the body of the mail message: subscribe list_name
where "list_name" is the name of the list you wish to subscribe to (e.g., "iastp_jobs" or "iastp_events").
Notice that this does not include your actual e-mail address. Majordomo will determine that information based on your email so long as you are mailing to majordomo@lists.berkeley.edu from your own account. You will then receive an e-mail back from Majordomo asking you to confirm your request to belong to the list.
How to unsubscribe from the lists:
1) Go to: http://lists.berkeley.edu and login using your calmail name and password. Then, under Mailing Lists, select Subscribe/Unsubscribe to a Majordomo list and choose the IASTP list you want to unsubscribe from.
OR
2) Send email addressed to: majordomo@lists.berkeley.edu that contains this single line in the body of the mail message: unsubscribe list_name

Posting to the lists:
These two lists are moderated, meaning that all messages are approved by a list moderator before being posted. This eliminates spam and allows only the most appropriate items to be disseminated. If you have a job or event you wish to be posted, send it directly to the list. It will automatically get forwarded to the list moderator for review. Listings must have a web address, email or phone number where readers can go for more information about the posting.
