Mediation, Conflict Resolution and Peace
The Rotary Foundation has selected University of California, Berkeley as one of the seven worldwide Rotary Center for International Studies in Peace in Conflict Resolution. An extensive description of the Berkeley Rotary curriculum is located at Program at Berkeley.
The Berkeley Rotary Center is administered by International and Area Studies, the campus coordinating body for 51 international teaching, research, service and exchange programs and Area Centers. Berkeley Rotary World Peace Scholars may choose to live at International House which is also affiliated with International and Area Studies.
Each year, up to ten new Rotary World Peace Scholars will be selected by Rotary International to study in a two-year Master's level degree program emphasizing human rights, peace and conflict resolution, and international studies. Specific questions regarding the fellowship application process as well as eligibility and selection criteria for the Rotary World Scholars Program should be directed to Rotary International Educational Programs at: rotarycenters@rotary.org.
