Guest Information

Arrival Time
Guests should arrive on Wednesday, May 20 by 1:00pm to Lower Sproul Plaza. The doors will open for special needs guests at 1:10pm. If you have a special need, be sure to email Veronique at vrichard@berkeley.edu, to have your name put on the list. At 1:20pm, the doors will open for general admission. Please have your entire party gathered before entering the auditorium.

Seating
Seats are non-reserved and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Everyone except infants in arms must have a ticket. Graduates will purchase and distribute tickets to you. You cannot "save" seats after 1:40pm. We expect a sell-out crowd and kindly ask you to sit in adjacent seats towards the center to make seating easier for everybody.

Anyone standing or sitting in the aisles after 2:00pm will be asked to take a seat or to leave the auditorium.

Guests are not allowed to bring tripods, food, drinks (except for water), balloons, confetti, or air horns into the auditorium, nor can they leave their seats during the ceremony.

After the Ceremony
The ceremony is expected to end around 4:00pm. Friends and family are welcome to meet the faculty immediately following the ceremony in the lobby areas of Zellerbach Auditorium.
